Angels are for Real by Judith MacNutt - Review
Angels are for Real by Judith MacNutt was an okay book. The book talks about what the Bible says about angels in how they look, what they do, why they are important, and much more. She also shares real peoples stories of their experiences with angels in their lives. I picked this book to read because I do believe in angels, and thought it would be interesting to see what the author had to say about angels and the stories about experiences with angels. If you really want to learn more about angels in a biblical way then I think you might enjoy the whole book, but if not then you won't enjoy it as much. I loved reading all the stories that she included in the book of real life experiences with angels, but was not into the rest of the book.
I received this book for free from Bethany House Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Quiet!
Quiet is what I am enjoying right now, and it is wonderful! My husband was so nice and took the two kids grocery shopping with him so I could stay home and rest. I love it when he does things like this for me. He knows I need some quiet after my horrible headache last night that I thought I was going to end up in the ER for, plus the busy week ahead of playgroups, birthday parties, and packing for our trip to Texas that we leave for on Thursday until the day before Easter. So I am going to take this time and enjoy every second of quiet I can get until they get back. Of course, when they get back it will feel like they never left but that is okay. What is something nice that your husband or significant other has done for you lately?

My Own Worst Enemy: How To stop Holding Yourself Back by Janet Davis - Review
I saw this book on a list of books available to review and thought "Wow that would be perfect for me to read!" The author, Janet Davis, writes about breaking down the destructive cycle of shame and self-doubt that a lot of women deal with through lessons from women today, biblical women and her own stories. I have been dealing myself with a lot of self-doubt lately and thought this book would be perfect for me to read. I really enjoyed how she related everything to both women today and women in biblical times. Before reading this I never saw that the women from biblical times dealt with a lot of the same issues that we do today. Each chapter includes some very thought provoking questions to think about and answer for yourself. Some chapters I felt didn't pertain to me as much as others so I didn't get into them as in depth as the the chapters I thought pertained to my life. I did find the book to be very helpful in certain areas of my life, and plan to keep the book to refer back to in the future if I find myself having these issues or other issues addressed in the book again in my life. The book would make a great women's small group study, and I feel that I probably would get much more out of it if I read and discussed this with a group of women rather then on my own like I did.
Disclaimer: This book was provided free to me from Bethany House Publishers to read and review.

Crocheting Projects
After teaching my self how to crochet, I just can't stop crocheting. Crochet is my new love! I am wanting to try to make everything I can possibly by crocheting. If you need something to help relax, crochet will help you do that once you learn. I have posted some of the other things I have crocheted, but here are three other things I just finished in the past week.
This is M wearing a hat I crocheted her. Purple is her favorite color so that is the color she chose for her hat.
Here M is modeling the headband with flower I crocheted for her.
A dish cloth I made for my pen pal in California.

Spring Wreath
I thought I would share my spring wreath with all of you. I just finished it today so it will be ready to go up the day after St. Patrick's Day. Here it is.
I wrapped this wreath with yarn just like I did on my St. Patrick's Day wreath. Then I crochet the three flowers and attached them to the wreath. It was very easy to do, and I think my favorite wreath now.

St. Patrick's Yarn Wreath - Tutorial Included
Here is the wreath I made for St. Patrick's Day!
What you need to make this:
skein of yarn ( you won't use it all)
wreath form
glue gun
scissors
some St. Patty's Day Decorations to add
For my wreath form I used plumber foam tubing that I got from Home Depot, and taped the two ends together to form a circle. Here is a picture of what it looks like.
Then I hot glued the beginning of the yarn to what would be the back of my wreath on the foam tubing, and started wrapping it around.
I continued wrapping till I got to where I started wrapping and hot glued the end down on the back of the wreath to hold the yarn. Hot gluing the yarn at the beginning and the end is all you need to keep it in place. Here is the wreath completely wrapped in yarn.
The last step is just to find some cute St. Patty's decorations to add to the wreath. My decorations were found at Hobby Lobby. Each of them were attached to a wire stem, so I just pushed the wire stem through the wreath to hold it and cut the ends of the wire that were sticking out at the bottom off. So this is what I ended up with.
If you have any questions about this tutorial please leave me a comment and I will be happy to answer them.
Where Does The Time Go?
Wow, where does the time go to? I have been so busy with my two kids and enjoying life lately that I have not been on the computer as much as I normally do. This week we have been soaking up every second of the beautiful weather we are having here in Missouri. The kids have been doing play dates at the the park, playing at home in our yard, going for long walks in the neighborhood, and so much more. This week and last we have also been squeezing some St. Patrick's Day activities in to which I will have to upload pictures of real soon. Today we also made a couple of St. Patrick's Day snacks for us to enjoy the next couple of days. Friday will be our first day home all day in over a week, so if I can I will try to upload pics and make some more posts so you can see what we have been up to. I also will be reviewing a book that I received from Bethany House Publishing in the next week as soon as I finish reading it. Hope everyone is doing well!

French Dip Crescents
Let me tell you these were a big hit in our house. My husband asked while we were eating when we could have them again. (Sorry for not having a better picture. All I had at the time was my cell phone to take a picture with.)
French Dip Crescents
2 packages crescent rolls
1 pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
4 oz of provolone cheese
optional: Horseradish Sauce
optional: Au Jus for dipping
Unroll crescent onto a large cookie sheet. Spread a small bit of horseradish on each crescent if you want to use it. Then place a slice of roast beef and piece of provolone on each crescent. Roll crescents starting from wide end and ending at narrow end. Bake at 375 for 11 minutes, or until crescents are a golden color. Serve with Au Jus.
