I just finished reading this book for one of my book clubs the other day and loved it!
Here is the book description:
Dear Anna,What I have to tell you is difficult to write, but I know it will be far more difficult for you to hear, and I'm so sorry…
The unfinished letter is the only clue Tara and Emerson have to the reason behind their close friend Noelle's suicide. Everything they knew about Noelle—her calling as a midwife, her passion for causes, her love for her friends and family—described a woman who embraced life.
Yet there was so much they didn't know.
With the discovery of the letter and its heartbreaking secret, Noelle's friends begin to uncover the truth about this complex woman who touched each of their lives—and the life of a desperate stranger—with love and betrayal, compassion and deceit.
My review:
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and had trouble putting it down. It is a great story about three women who thought they knew each other really well, and come to find out after one of them commits suicide there were a lot of hidden secrets. I enjoyed how each chapter was told in the perspective of one of the main characters in the story, so you really got to know each of them well. There were lots of twists and turns in the story that always had you thinking and as soon as you thought you had it figured out there would be another twist that had you guessing again. There is so much more I could say about the book but I am afraid I would give the story line away so i will stop here. I would highly recommend this book to read, and I plan on checking out some of Diane Chamberlain's other books.
